CHARTWELL GROUP WINS MASCA CONTRACT

The Chartwell Group USA has just been hired on a 2-year contract to perform Executive Director functions for the MIDDLE ATLANTIC STATES CORRECTIONAL ASSOCIATION (MASCA).

Founded in 1939, MASCA is a multi-disciplinary professional organization with membership in Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont. MASCA is a regional affiliate of the American Correctional Association (ACA) and the American Probation & Parole Association (APPA).

Chartwell president Anthony J. Czarnecki characterized the partnership with MASCA as “a strong vote of confidence in the ability of Chartwell to deliver for its customers in the criminal justice system”. Mr. Czarnecki holds professional membership status with the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and was recently selected for inclusion in the Cambridge Who’s Who Registry, a global network of executives, professionals, and entrepreneurs.

The mission of the MIDDLE ATLANTIC STATES CORRECTIONAL ASSOCIATION is to:

  • promote the highest standards of excellence and professionalism in criminal and juvenile justice,
  • encourage information-sharing in the related disciplines of probation, parole, juvenile justice, and corrections,
  • create a support system for professionals at all levels in the correctional system,
  • provide an educational forum for networking, problem-solving, and leadership development across state boundaries, and
  • promote the public image of institutional and community corrections.

MASCA is governed by an elected Board of Trustees, representing its member states. Henry Alexander of Maryland currently serves as MASCA president.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE CONSULTING HONORS

Anthony J. Czarnecki, president of The Chartwell Group USA, has been named "Professional of the Year" (2009-2010) for CRIMINAL JUSTICE CONSULTING in the United States. This prestigious honor was announced on December 4th, 2009 by Mitchel S. Robbins, Chairman & CEO of the Cambridge Who's Who Registry of Executives, Professionals and Entrepreneurs. The selection was based on personal achievement within the criminal justice profession and exemplary leadership skills. Cambridge Who's Who promotes personal branding through global networking. As a result of his selection, Mr. Czarnecki has been admitted to the Cambridge Hall of Fame as a successful executive in the delivery of consultant services.
